Somewhere In The Middle
2011 - 2014
Somewhere In The Middle, are selected sample images of a much larger and on going work, where I document a cultural topographic that I now see changing in Canada and in the United States, as I drive down its less travelled roads.
These altered landscapes caused by human activities are the root source that stimulates in me visual possibilities for my kind of photography.
These images, often seemingly ironic, evoke at once nostalgia and concern. I identify within them a malaise woven into common scenes, usuallly viewed in passing glances. I photograph initially to evaluate what I thought I saw, and then print the images (20 x 30 inches) for others to notice and contemplate.
